Live Cello Performance at The Elvetham
There’s something timeless about Can’t Help Falling In Love – and hearing it performed live on cello in The Bell Tower at The Elvetham is pure lush magic. I’ve been asked for both the Elvis Presley version, and Crazy Rich Asians version. What I truly love? Is that what you’re after is gorgeous softness and easy romance. (Could the cello BE more suited to this?!?)
Luxury Wedding Styling
During the Lo & Behold Wedding Fair a couple of weekends ago, I had the chance to perform in this beautiful space. Of course I took advantage, whilst it was dressed for the wedding fashion show. Styled by Luv Shifting Flowers and Luxury Hire Co – honestly, the atmosphere felt like stepping straight into a romantic film.
The Bell Tower is one of my favourite ceremony locations in Hampshire. The acoustics are absolutely stunning and perfect for solo cello – warm, rich, and resonant in a way that really made my cello sing. I positioned myself at the front of the altar for this recording, with piano backing track, to capture what it would really sound like to have live cello and piano accompaniment during a wedding ceremony. Which is absolutely doable, by the way – I have a number of professional pianist (and harpist!) friends on standby, ready to perform with me.
Can’t Help Falling In Love is a song that always lands beautifully. Regardless of whether it’s for an entrance, a first dance, or guests arriving, it never fails. It’s elegant, emotional, instantly recognisable, and a moment everyone remembers. Whether you want a Crazy Rich Asians version or an Elvis Presley version, it’s going to sound amazing and perfect.
